When you walk into a space, the lobby is the first impression of a building. Our design team was asked to redesign the lobby, which left much to be desired. The existing space was dark, uninviting and dated. We installed Consentino’s new product, Dekton, on the floor and walls to brighten up the space and add depth and interest. We staggered one side to add a textured look and contrasted the product using light and dark selections. We mirrored the geometrical effect which allowed us to elongate the space. We chose a recessed ceiling to create the focal point and used color to offset the Dekton products by varying the light fixtures and creating a wow factor. We restored the classic elegance of a small downtown Boston lobby using contemporary materials to create an elevated first impression.
